How should alcohol be kept?

Light and temperature are the two main elements influencing the quality of spirits over time. To preserve liquor bottles effectively, it’s advisable to store them away from direct sunlight and maintain a room temperature or a slightly cooler environment, ideally between 68 to 72°F.

How is alcohol transported?

Due to alcohol’s high sensitivity to environmental influences, its transportation necessitates the use of specialized vehicles. These vehicles, which are sealed and clean, ensure the maintenance of constant humidity levels and adhere to specific temperature controls. A key stipulation is that the cargo space must be entirely shielded from light.

How do you pack alcohol for shipping?

LM Warehousing and Distribution professional team prioritizing safety and compliance with regulations. Initially, we assess the type of alcohol and select appropriate, sturdy packaging materials designed to withstand the rigors of transit. Each bottle is then individually wrapped in high-quality bubble wrap or placed in pre-molded pulp inserts for superior protection against impacts. For larger shipments, specialized boxes with dividers are used to prevent bottles from colliding. We also ensure that the internal environment of the package is controlled, sometimes utilizing insulated shipping containers to maintain stable temperatures, crucial for preserving the quality of certain alcohols. To fill any voids within the box and minimize movement, biodegradable packing peanuts or additional cushioning materials are used. The package is sealed securely with heavy-duty tape, clearly labeled with ‘Fragile’ and ‘This Side Up’ markings to guide handling. On top of that, our logistics teams is well-versed in the legal requirements for shipping alcohol, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant. This comprehensive approach ensures that alcohol shipments reach their destination in pristine condition.
